The present neo-gothic look of this originally 14th century church was the work of the local master builder Vodička. Of interest are not only the impressive interiors, but also the modern window curtains created at the end of the 1990s.

The column was a symbol of the town’s gratitude for protection against the Hussites in 1424, the Kuman Turks in 1463, as well as a memorial to the victims of the plague. Standing on the pillars on the lower part of the stone sculpture are St. Bartholomew, St. Carlo Borromeo, St. Jacob and St. Jan Sarkander. The column is crowned by a statue of the Virgin Mary Immaculate at a height of 22 metres. The column was created by Georg A. Heinz and Severin Tischler.

The town hall building dates to the second half of the 14th century or the beginning of the 15th century. The building originally served for unloading goods. A number of reconstructions erased its Gothic character. A tower built in the northeast corner gradually rose to a height of 45 metres. A chapel added to the west side of the town hall in the 17th century serves today as a ceremonial hall; a massive staircase was added to the east side of the building in the 18th century. The town hall was transformed into its current Neo-Renaissance appearance in the 19th century. Today the town hall houses the Town Office.
