Castle Helfštýn
Týn nad Bečvou
Helfštýn Castle was founded in the 13th century on a ridge above the Bečva River valley, to protect the main road to Silesia. It supposedly carries the name of the predatory knight Helfried (Friduš) of Linava, who founded it. It was intentionally demolished in the 17th century. Today tourists can view its extensive system of fortifications, with six gates, many towers, buildings, walls and a series of ramparts.

Kostel stojí na místě starého bratrského sboru, kde byl v letech 1590–1593 postaven místní vrchností renesanční bratrský kostel. Lipenskými pány byly v té době Petr Vok z Rožmberka s manželkou Kateřinou z Ludanic. Bratrský kostel byl postaven v goticko–renesančních formách. Měl půdorys obdélníka s torjbokým presbytářem sevřeným dvojicí věží. Z původní stavby se dochovala dispozice kostela a dvojice věží, z nichž severní je vyzdobena sloupkovými arkádami zdobenými balustrádou. Bylo to výjimečné dílo, protože bratrské kostely jinak obecně věže nemívaly. Druhá, jižní věž, zřejmě nikdy nebyla dostavěna do zamýšlené výše. Projektantem této významné budovy byl stavitel Baltassare Maggi z italského Arogna.

Farní kostel sv. Jakuba se nachází na nejstarším území města. Kostel sám je snad původně románská stavba. Zřejmě před rokem 1400 byl Lackem z Kravař znovu vystavěn goticky. Věž byla zvýšena roku 1596 a završena renesančním arkádovým ochozem a bání. Interiér kostela pochází převážně z 60.let 18. století, kdy byl kostel zbarokizován.
Helfštýn - Rope Climbing Park

Test your courage and agility on rope obstacles hung high above the ground and between trees - naturally, under the supervision of trained instructors. Visit the "Pod Helfštýnem" Rope Climbing Park near Helfštýn Castle. The park is composed of various obstacles located between trees at a height of around 4 metres. The track has 11 obstacles plus a final descent ladder. The lenght of the track is approximately 120 metres. All climbers secure themselves with rented equipment according to the instructions and training of staff members.
Town Walls

The remains of the town walls in Lipník nad Bečvou are among the best preserved in Moravia. Despite the fact that the town gates disappeared in the 19th century, relatively larges sections of both town walls with bastions were preserved. The town walls in Lipník nad Bečvou are visible around the entire historical centre. It is assumed that the fortifications were first made out of wood and later built from stone. The walls were built in their current form by the Pernstein family at the turn of the 16th century.
Piaristický klášter

Piaristé přišli do Lipníka nad Bečvou na popud kardinála Dietrichštejna v roce 1634. Nastěhovali se do prostor domu jednoty bratrské. K první přestavbě došlo v letech 1637-1641. V koleji bylo 18 cel a jedna temná. V letech 1660-1670 byly kolejní budovy znovu zcela přestavěny za ekonomické pomoci Maxmiliána z Dietrichštejnu. V roce 1673 byla vybudována vedlejší školní budova, v letech 1740-1741 byla rozšířena o další trakt.
Synagogue, Jewish Quarter and cemeteries
Lipník nad Bečvou
The oldest synagogue in Moravia and after Altnai syngogue in Prague, the second oldest one in the Czech Republic.The main hall is vaulted in the late Gothic style with brick ribs. The synagogue in Lipník was rebuilt many times, e.g. in the 70´s of the 19th Century and for the last time in 1948 – 50 when it was transformed to a Hussite Church. Tip: We recommend visiting Jewish Cemetery.
Chateau park

Lovely garden at the local chateau, founded in the mid-17th century by Prince Dietrichstein. The arrangement of the chateau park was first influenced by French parks; from 1880 the park began to be arranged in the style of the English natural landscape park, and this appearance has been maintained to the present day. Part of the complex is also the unique roofed garden, the oldest in the Czech Republic. Interesting trees are to be found in the park, such as the Weeping Green Beech, several branches of which have taken root and together with the original trunk have created an interesting arrangement. This tree was a finalist in the 2005 Tree of the Year contest.

The chateau essentially retained its Renaissance appearance during the time of the Lords of Dietrichstein, who owned the domain until the year 1858. The chateau and the adjacent farming wing underwent large-scale Neo-classicist reconstruction in the 1860s. Today the chateau serves as the seat of the Lipník nad Bečvou Town Office.
Bell Tower

The bell tower is a massive Late-Renaissance structure with an interesting “cut out” pattern on top. Originally built in 1609, the tower currently houses three bells.
